Dennis T. Clark has joined the University of Virginia Library as Associate University Librarian for Public Services. Previously, he served for seven years as Associate University Librarian for Research and Learning and Associate Professor at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond.
UVA’s School of Engineering and Applied Science has named Michael Todd Associate Dean for Finance and Operations. Todd will be the School’s chief operating and chief financial officer and function as treasurer for the Virginia Engineering Foundation.
Brenda Gunn has joined the University of Virginia Library as the Associate University Librarian for Archives and Special Collections. Brenda has spent the last 18 years with the University of Texas where she was the Director for Research and Collections at the Dolph Briscoe Center for American History.
Betsey Daley has been appointed Associate Vice President for State Government Relations and Special Assistant to the President. Betsey will assume her new role October 30th.
Carla Williams has been named the University of Virginia’s director of athletics, President Teresa A. Sullivan announced Sunday. Williams has been an athletics administrator at the University of Georgia for the past 13 years, most recently serving as the deputy director of athletics since 2015. In her role as deputy director of athletics at Georgia, Williams was responsible for the day-to-day operations of the department and its $127 million budget.
Adam Weikel has joined UVA Human Resources as the Assistant Vice President, Service. Adam has spent the last decade serving in a blend of higher education, human resources, and public sector roles. He joins us from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, where he serves as Associate Chief and Director of Strategic Operations, reporting to the Governor’s Chief of Staff. In this position, he built and lead a team of internal consultants responsible for addressing the state's most complex operational and service delivery challenges across Massachusetts’s 43,000-employee organization.
