Adam Weikel has joined UVA Human Resources as the Assistant Vice President, Service. Adam has spent the last decade serving in a blend of higher education, human resources, and public sector roles. He joins us from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, where he serves as Associate Chief and Director of Strategic Operations, reporting to the Governor’s Chief of Staff. In this position, he built and lead a team of internal consultants responsible for addressing the state's most complex operational and service delivery challenges across Massachusetts’s 43,000-employee organization. He has a record of successful change management, having directed numerous large-scale reorganization and modernization initiatives. His background in higher education includes HR and administrative roles at Northeastern, Tufts, and Fairleigh Dickinson Universities. He assumed his new role October 16, 2017.
