Star is an internal audit leader with over 20 years of broad-based internal audit experience in healthcare and public sector organizations. Prior to joining UVA, she served for 12 years as a Senior Manager at Crowe Healthcare Risk Consulting leading the internal audit programs at several healthcare systems. She brings extensive experience leading multi-disciplinary teams performing a broad range of audits including program performance, fiscal management, compliance with healthcare regulations, hospital operations, internal controls, and information management.
Julia Smith has accepted the position of Executive Director of Federal Government Relations and Special Assistant to the President. A graduate of Dickinson College, Julia will be the University’s first full-time federal government relations professional.
Devin leads the Custom solutions team for organizational partners and clients as part of the Darden Executive Education and the Sands Institute for Lifelong Learning. He is responsible for overall client engagement, team leadership and expanding Darden’s reach to global organizations to drive impact. Prior to Darden, Devin served as Director, Custom Live Programs at the integrated area of Cornell University in Cornell External Education. In that role he worked closely with global clients such as Merck, Amazon and RSM leveraging faculty across Cornell University.

Damon assumed his role August 21, 2017. Within this role, Damon will oversee student admissions, registration, retention services, marketing and communications, and outreach and recruitment services.
The University of Virginia has appointed Olga N. Weider as the next Associate Vice President for Finance and University Controller. Weider joins UVAFinance with a wealth of experience and a proven track record in financial management.
