Dean, McIntire School of Commerce

The University of Virginia announced that Nicole Thorne Jenkins has been named the next dean of the McIntire School of Commerce, effective July 1.

Jenkins is currently vice dean of the Gatton College of Business and Economics at the University of Kentucky, where she is also the Von Allmen Chaired Professor of Accountancy. She was previously on the faculty at Vanderbilt University and Washington University in St. Louis.

Professor of Practice, Darden School of Business

Toni Irving is coming to Darden as a Professor of Practice. She will bring her broad experience in academia, social impact and government. Most recently, she was the Executive Director of Get IN Chicago where she launched and led a $45 million social impact fund. She has also served as the Deputy Chief of Staff and Senior Advisor to Govern Pat Quinn of Illinois. Prior to this, she was an assistant professor in the Department of English at the University of Notre Dame. Toni is a UVA graduate where she earned her BA in English, Modern Studies Honors Program.

Executive Director, Cancer Programs

Corley previously served as Assistant Vice President, Advancement Strategic Initiatives at the Darden School Foundation where she is the senior leader and fundraiser. She achieved the Foundation’s largest contribution in 2021 of $44 Million, the School's largest by a living donor.

Executive Director of Strategic Advancement for Batten

Elinor (Ellie) Tappé serves as Executive Director of Strategic Advancement where she helps shape and realize the strategic objectives of the Batten School. With a 25-year history in strategic planning and development, Ellie has held a variety of leadership roles in the corporate sector, as well as higher education and nonprofit. Her experience in philanthropy spans more than a decade and includes UC Berkeley, Larkin Street Youth Services and Urban Teachers. 

Research Computing Development and Operations Engineer

Ognen Duzlevski has been appointed as Research Computing Development and Operations Engineer joining the Computing and Data Resource Exchange team at the University of Virginia. Ognen assumed his new role March 27th.

In this capacity, Ognen will be responsible for implementation of system enhancements on top of existing solutions, connecting user support and system services, operating in UVA’s high performance computing environment.

Vice President and Chief Student Affairs Officer

The University of Virginia announced Monday that Kenyon Bonner, vice provost for student affairs at the University of Pittsburgh, has been appointed as vice president and chief student affairs officer.
