Associate Dean for Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion, School of Architecture

The University of Virginia’s School of Architecture launched a search for an associate dean for justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion (AD JEDI) in September 2021.  A newly created role, the AD JEDI is a key member of Dean Malo A. Hutson’s executive team and provides strategic leadership to frame and guide tangible systems change within the school, while participating in broader efforts of institutional transformation across the university.  Today the School of Architecture announces the appointment of C.L.

Associate Vice President for Career and Professional Development

Nicole Hall comes to the University of Virginia from the University of North Carolina Greensboro. She is an accomplished leader known for her skills in strategic planning, management, building internal and external partnerships, use of technology, marketing, and fundraising. At the University of North Carolina Greensboro, she has successfully moved the career operation from one of delivering general services to one that is more market-informed, partnerships-based, and metrics-oriented.

Assistant Vice President, Service

Adam Weikel has joined UVA Human Resources as the Assistant Vice President, Service. Adam has spent the last decade serving in a blend of higher education, human resources, and public sector roles. He joins us from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, where he serves as Associate Chief and Director of Strategic Operations, reporting to the Governor’s Chief of Staff.  In this position, he built and lead a team of internal consultants responsible for addressing the state's most complex operational and service delivery challenges across Massachusetts’s 43,000-employee organization.

Vice President for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

University of Virginia President Jim Ryan today announced the appointment of Kevin G. McDonald as vice president for diversity, equity and inclusion. An experienced administrator with a proven track record of advancing initiatives that help universities be diverse, vibrant and welcoming communities, McDonald is currently the vice chancellor for inclusion, diversity and equity at the University of Missouri-Columbia and the chief diversity, equity and inclusion officer for the University of Missouri system. He will assume the top leadership post on Aug. 1.

Workday Financials Implementation Lead

As the Workday Financials Implementation Lead, Jackie is responsible for providing overall leadership and subject matter expertise in the implementation of Workday Financial Management, as well as managing the technical aspects of the project including business process configuration, integrations & conversions, and tenant management.

Vice President and Chief Student Affairs Officer

President Jim Ryan and Provost Liz Magill announced that Robyn S. Hadley, associate vice chancellor and dean for scholar programs at Washington University in St. Louis, will become UVA’s next vice president and chief student affairs officer, effective June 1.
