Lori L. McMahon

Lori L. McMahon has been selected to serve as UVA’s next Vice President for Research following a national search. Her appointment, pending approval by the Board of Visitors, is slated to begin June 15, 2024. 

Erica Watson

As a Recruiting Associate, Erica Watson brings six years of high-level administrative and operations experience to support the Executive Search Group’s comprehensive search process. A dynamic and mission-focused professional, Erica provides meticulous support to search consultants and university partners.

Wanda Evans

Wanda Evans joins UVA Human Resources from Cone Health where she served in a Compensation leadership role since 2016. During the course of her tenure, Wanda played a critical role in leading the career architecture and compensation redesign projects. Prior to joining Cone Health, she held leadership and various other positions in Compensation with UNC Health and Duke Health.

As Director of Compensation, Wanda will serve as part of the Total Rewards leadership team as well as lead the compensation and classification function for UVA.

Tina Mangieri

Tina Mangieri joins UVA as the inaugural Director of Global Initiatives following multiple leadership positions in international education and a teaching/research career spanning four continents. Prior to UVA, she was based in Sweden, serving as the first Associate Academic Director and Director of Research at DIS Study Abroad in Scandinavia, a Copenhagen and Stockholm-based non-profit leader in international education.

UVA Names Leslie Kendrick as Next Dean of the School of Law

The University of Virginia announced Monday that Leslie Kendrick has been selected to serve as the 13th dean of the School of Law. Her term begins July 1.

Kendrick, a 2006 graduate of the School of Law who joined the faculty in 2008, will succeed Risa Goluboff, the first woman to serve as dean. Goluboff, the Arnold H. Leon Professor of Law and a professor of history at UVA, plans to return to the faculty, which she first joined in 2002, at the conclusion of her eight-year term.
