Wanda Evans joins UVA Human Resources from Cone Health where she served in a Compensation leadership role since 2016. During the course of her tenure, Wanda played a critical role in leading the career architecture and compensation redesign projects. Prior to joining Cone Health, she held leadership and various other positions in Compensation with UNC Health and Duke Health.
As Director of Compensation, Wanda will serve as part of the Total Rewards leadership team as well as lead the compensation and classification function for UVA.
Wanda holds a Master of Science in Human Resources from Western Carolina University. She completed her undergraduate work at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Wanda also holds HR certification from both the HR Certification Institute and the Society for Human Resource Management.
When not working, Wanda enjoys spending time with family, reading, taking long walks, and serving in the community.
