Susan Gaines joined the Executive Search Group in June 2011. In her time at the University, she has recruited top talent to join the University of Virginia. She led vital searches such as the Chief Communications Officer, Chief Audit Executive and Associate Dean for Research and Faculty at the Curry School of Education.
She pursues a broad-based approach to recruitment by aligning strategy, structure and culture. She provides senior leadership consulting throughout the search process and maintains strong client relationships across the University. Her expertise is onboarding candidates and providing superior service throughout the process.
Previously, she taught both private and public school in the Charlottesville community. Susan earned a bachelor's degree from Radford University and obtained her teaching degree in secondary education from Mary Baldwin College.
