Lee Harper joins the College Foundation as Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. Lee came to the Foundation after 26 years at Southeastern Asset Management, a Memphis-based $15 billion investment management firm focused on long-term, concentrated, engaged value investing in equity securities. As a principal, Lee built the external relationships and internal infrastructure related to the revenue side of the business through the firm’s significant expansion. She was responsible for new client development, client retention and growth, service and communications during her tenure.
Before joining Southeastern in 1993, Lee worked in the consulting group at IBM and at McKinsey as a business analyst. Lee holds an MBA from Harvard Business School. She graduated with distinction from the University of Virginia with a B.A. in History and Rhetoric and Communications Studies.
