Elly Jackson grew up in Jackson, Mississippi and moved to Charlottesville in 2010 to attend UVA as an undergraduate. Drawn to the strong liberal arts tradition, she double majored in Art History and Religious Studies. During her time at UVA, she participated in multiple arts-related initiatives across Grounds, including service as a member of the Student Arts Committee on Student Council, later co-chairing this committee, and serving as a Student Docent at the Fralin Museum of Art.
Elly remained in Central Virginia after graduation and worked in several small local businesses, deepening her connection to UVA and the Charlottesville community. Beginning in 2018, she worked at Pippin Hill Farm & Vineyards and developed a love for the high-end hospitality industry and its opportunities for operational problem solving, concierge-level service, and client relationship-building. In her role as Tasting Room Office Manager, Elly provided high-level administrative support to her management colleagues including meeting and office management. She also functioned as the primary reservationist by phone and email and was the administrator for the winery’s reservation platform, spearheading complex initiatives such as managing reservations for UVA’s Graduation Weekend.
Elly joined Executive Search Group in August 2023 as a Recruiting Associate and brings her skills for puzzling through unexpected challenges and optimizing technologies and communication strategies to the role.
In her free time, Elly enjoys walking and playing with her rescue dog, Samwell, trying new restaurants with friends, and reading on her screened porch.
