Craig Lindqvist

Associate Dean of Administration, Frank Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy

The Frank Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy has named Craig Lindqvist the new associate dean for administration. Lindqvist will succeed Bill Ashby as the chief financial and administrative officer for the school.

With an outstanding record of accomplishment in strategy, finance, technology, and other administrative functions, Lindqvist comes to the Batten School from CFA Institute, a global association of investment management professionals, where he served in a variety of senior leadership roles overseeing organizational planning and financial management, financial operations, market intelligence and business analytics, procurement, payroll, and other functions. Most recently, as head of global business operations, he developed a comprehensive operating strategy and built the teams, processes, and technology to empower a network of affiliated organizations operating in 80 countries to deliver in-person professional learning experiences to their members.

Lindqvist began his professional career as an engineer for The Boeing Company before serving in the U.S. Navy as a supply corps officer, where he developed practical experience in leadership, personnel management, and financial supply chain logistics. He went on to receive a master’s degree in business administration focused in finance and operations management from the University of Colorado at Boulder. In 2010, he completed the Accelerated Master’s Program for Systems Engineering at the University of Virginia.

As a senior member of the leadership team, Lindqvist will work closely with the entire Batten community.
