Alex Fritz joined the College Foundation as Director of Development, Principal Gifts, in November 2019. Alex is an accomplished development professional with over 17 years of experience in higher education fundraising. He began his career as a CPA with Deloitte before transitioning to Sara Lee Corporation where he managed various responsibilities in financial planning and customer logistics.
Most recently, Alex served as the North America-based development director for Trinity College Dublin. Serving Virginia Tech as Director of Development for the Pamplin College of Business and as Associate Director of Gift Planning, he was a significant contributor to the success of Virginia Tech’s $1 billion comprehensive campaign.
Alex earned a Bachelor of Science in Business, Cum Laude, from Virginia Tech. He has two daughters, Lauren, a second year in the College, and Sydney, a high school sophomore.
