In her more than two decades of executive search experience, Catherine Lindqvist has been involved in hundreds of leadership transitions in both the academic and corporate arena. She is the Executive Director of the University of Virginia’s Executive Search Group and Strategic Resourcing. Mrs. Lindqvist oversees a team of senior search consultants and recruiting associates focusing on searches for significant leadership transitions within the University.
Her experience is in national and global searches identifying presidents, CEO’s, provosts, deans, foundation leadership, advancement, finance, and human resources professionals. Prior to joining UVA, she founded a boutique search firm focused on building leadership teams within the private sector. Mrs. Lindqvist is a former executive board member of the Albemarle Charlottesville Regional Chamber of Commerce and the Society for Human Resource Management. She considers her experience as a source of insight for committees and boards in handling complex succession issues.
Certified in the Five-Factor Model of Personality, tested in academic and research communities worldwide and found to be a means of explaining and describing personality, she is deeply interested in understanding the values, emotional and intellectual learnings that leaders acquire and how they translate into value for the organizations they serve.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in communications from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her four children, traveling with her husband and running.
